We interrupt this play list for some music news........
ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) _ They're being billed as rehearsals, but fans don't seem to be noticing any of the mistakes Bruce Springsteen swears he and the E Street Band have been making. Springsteen's third rehearsal takes place this Friday at an arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. If it's anything like the others, fans who paid $100 a ticket will think they got their money's worth. Springsteen performed 21 songs in 2 hours at his first rehearsal Monday night. They're getting ready for their first tour in four years. It starts October 2nd in Hartford, Connecticut, the same day their CD "Magic" drops.

NASHVILLE (AP) _ The Eagles new single is hot on the country charts, so they're going to take advantage of that and play at the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville. They'll perform "How Long," the first song from their upcoming double album "Long Run out of Eden." It'll be their first time on the CMAs which are being held November 7th in Nashville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Merle Haggard's is releasing his first bluegrass album. It's called ''The Bluegrass Sessions'' and it comes out October 2nd. Haggard says bluegrass music is true music. He says it's the opposite of what is happening in country music. He calls country music today -- quote -- ''too perfect.'' Haggard recorded the bluegrass album at Ricky Skaggs' Tennessee studio. Marty Stuart played guitar and mandolin on the CD. The CD includes Haggard songs and it also features a duet with Alison Krauss on the song ''Mama's Hungry Eyes.'' Haggard also has a box set coming out called the "Legends of American Music: Merle Haggard" and it's in stores on November 6th. The three-CD collection is a compilation of Haggard's 45 year career. It contains 60 of his biggest hits including "Today I Started Loving You Again," "The Fugitive," "Swinging Doors," and "Okie from Muskogee."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Mountain Heart's new album, ''Road That Never Ends (The Live Album)'' comes out October 23rd. The CD was recorded earlier this year at a 400 seat venue in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It's the band's first live recording. Mountain Heart captured the International Bluegrass Music Association ''Emerging Artist of the Year'' award in 1999.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Jack Ingram is going to perform for approximately 500 contest winners as part of a special CMA Awards giveaway on November 6th in Nashville. His latest single ''Measure of A Man''is a top 20 hit.
